Happy St Georges day!!

Today is St Georges day.

St George is the Patron Saint of England.

This is the St Georges day flag

My English friends will already know this, but for my non English friends here are some typically English things....

A London bus!

A nice cuppa, the cure all!!!

Fish and chips, always anointed with lots of salt and vinegar!

A pint of beer - not one of my favourites: but I can tell you, it's very popular with the men!!!!

And of course, typical English Sunday lunch - roast beef and Yorkshire pudding!

Hope you all enjoyed this!

Have a great weekend!

Kindest wishes and love

Can I as a Scottish person wish you a happy 'English' day? Is that allowed?
Will my choke on the words or be struck down by a Scottish God of Lightening? To be safe I'll say have a great weekend!!

Nothing like a good cup of tea.

You forgot a dish of curry, I was reading this survey which has it that this has become more of a national dish than fish & chips - not in our household it hasn't, we still prefer our chippie.

I have always wanted to ride on a trolley and sit on the upper. I did have fish and chips when we were in London and they don't taste anthing like our here. Is Yorkshire Pudding a sweet pudding like we eat here for dessert? It looks like you drink milk in your tea? Your post just brought all kinds of quetions to mind.
