On SaturdayMr Angel I had planned to go to France for the day with some friends!!
We booked to go on the Channel Tunnel!!
Some of you probably heard that it was not running on Saturday!!
My friend called the information line, and the recorded message said that there were 'delays'.
As it happened, this turned out to be a slight understatement!!!
Anyway, to cut a long story short we didn't go to France for the day!!
But we did drive round Kent and Sussex, had a wonderful lunch in an hotel (somewhere!!!) and saw some beautiful winter scenery!!!!
We headed home for an early dinner!!
The men then decided that they wanted mince pies and custard!!
What could we say!!!

Shame about France - you can go another time though - luckily for you its so close!!!
Better not to go than to get trapped there! Still looks like you made the most of it (a good feed up always makes you feel better!)

Better to have not gone. The stuff nightmares are made of, to be stuck in a tunnel like that, scary. Glad you had a good day anyway.
I've never tried Mince Pies with custard! You've inspired me to go and make some...

I bet so many people have had to change their plans the past week due to weather and various transport problems!
I hope you've still manage to stock up on festive spirit even if it isn't the french kind!
